Money withdrawn from a bank
So I need to withdrawal about 100K from a bank and would like to take personal possession of it. Am I going to run into any red flags over that?

If his bank is even half way on the ball they will notice the pattern and report. The thing is that unless OP is doing something else to draw negative attention to himself nobody, even the IRS, is going to care.

Not if you notify the bank that you want to take it out. They have to get the amount from the Federal Reserve. Call your bank and tell them you want it and you should be able to pick it up in a week. I've done this.

Any withdrawal of series of withdrawals totalling more than 10K have to be reported to the Feds. You can not just walk into a bank and say hand me my 100k. They have to assemble the cash and that can take a couple of weeks. They don't claim to have that much cash on hand.

Just a warning on that it you do this intentionally to avoid reporting it's called structuring & it's technically illegal.

Some Law Enforcement will show up and confiscate that cash if they can.

Re: Money withdrawn from a bank
They'll try to discourage you from doing it, but just be persistent and tell them you want it. They will report it to Dept. of Homeland Security (big deal, so what?). It's one of their intimidation tactics. Another one is to tell you it's not safe to have cash lying around. Blah, blah, blah. They will count it out in front of you in privacy at the bank. Go get it.

Any money you put in a bank is no longer yours - look it up. The bank owns it, it doesn't just "keep it safe" for you. This is another reason they will discourage you. For every dollar on deposit, the bank is legally allowed to create 9 more dollars out of thin air to lend out. It's legalized counterfeiting and the biggest scam on earth. Welcome to fractional reserve banking. Everyone should take their money out of the bank and only leave a small amt. in to pay bills.

Yeah - if it's your money & it's legit just call them & tell them your intentions.

They'll tell you how long it'll take to get it ready & if there's anything else they require from you to complete the transaction.

I've done this several times, actually. The question I always get is, "Are you making a large purchase?" Sometimes that has been the case (bought a vehicle), but sometimes I just want the money in my possession and I tell them so. But it's none of their business and you don't have to tell them anything. Get ready to be looked at like you are a criminal, though. It's disgusting.

You use your bags of money to work out with?

You take it out in smaller amounts because you are adding small increments of weight over time as you're slowly working your way up to higher weights to increase the workout effectiveness....right?

No, this is simply a withdrawal from my wife's payroll auto deposit's, from one bank to another. Nothing nefarious going on here. It frustrates me that I have to prove to the gov't that no one is doing anything wrong, it's my money.

$10,000 a day.

They will ask what you are doing, just in conversation.

Tell them you are building an addition on your home, and paying the contractors in cash.

Keep a list in your car of what you've told them. Roof, deck, concrete, framing, 6 other projects.

Smile, thank them, and leave.

This is also a good idea.

But you have to make an appointment to go into the bank. Gets complicated.

No problem at all if your just moving it from one bank to another and no reason to convert it to cash either. Open the new account and instruct the old bank to transfer it. No muss no fuss.

Also be careful that no one follows you home from the bank.

Don't complain or fuss about "it's my money", just be cool about it.

Better off spending it and converting it into something real keep 10 k in cash the rest buy land or something, in the end its a closed loop system anyways theres no way to escape, you can only reduce your expenses and taxes by going off grid. Rv for example avoids rent and taxes, i imagine if you have a small piece of land and live on a rv on top of it you avoid house grid living
