Just a warning on that it you do this intentionally to avoid reporting it's called structuring & it's technically illegal.

No, this is simply a withdrawal from my wife's payroll auto deposit's, from one bank to another. Nothing nefarious going on here. It frustrates me that I have to prove to the gov't that no one is doing anything wrong, it's my money.

If its going from one bank to another, there are these things called cheques.

Or bank wire.

Re: Money withdrawn from a bank
Hope you live very near that bank, OP. Whatever you do, DO NOT drive anywhere distant with that money or the law enforcement heroes WILL steal it. If you did that to someone, it would be felony crime(s), but when they do it, it's called civil asset forfeiture (kind of like "expropriation without compensation" in South Africa practised against the Boer farmers there). The things you can do with the English language when you have a badge or parliamentary title.

Thanks, all
Real estate here is off the charts, literally going over asking price with full cash offers, within a day. Gold, Silver, too unpredictable for me. buying farmland seems to be s better choice for me.

Thank you, Pretorius. No I would not touch it, it would go bank to bank via wired or ACH.

You can withdraw money after chat with manager
The same bank branch should take cash back without problems but don't expect other banks to take $100k cash and not send memo to HS

Most banks don't have $100k cash
15k-25k max / for safety /, if someone needs cash or coins delivery from fed reserve come next day

Correct, I'd have to order it. But if I never take possession of it I should be fine.

Re: Money withdrawn from a bank
i have two accounts with banks in different states.

sometimes i write a check to myself for as example 8000 from
number one to deposit in number two. i withdraw 7000 in cash at the
same time. i have money in either account in case the check
is held, but both banks seem to recognize each other without
holds.

this is all done on the level. i'm usually buying something
like a car or paying a contractor.

i would'nt move over 10k unless i really needed to pay
a contractor quickly.

this is a way you could slowly do it if your not in a hurry.

Buy gold or silver coins in small increments. Better than cash.

They will suddenly offer you private banking with all the perks. I miss the pastries and fancy coffee drinks. Thanks Covid.

"Well if you had done that before I might have stayed."

The next week there will be a new manager for that branch.

Now you should only keep $125,000 in each credit union. You don't want a hair cut.

It took 6 years to be made whole in the savings crash back in the 80's.

That is exactly my concern, the haircut. I want to be poor on paper.
