He needs to keep his powder dry.
He’s observing what they want to throw at him. E.g. attack his chief financial officer etc. Then he will show a few cards from his hand, and these problems will disappear as they realise he has the goods.
If he goes on the offensive, as you would wish, they have no choice but to go on the offensive too.
