6 months of snowy harsh winter, bad roads, regular power outages, 2 months of extreme heat and fire danger. Lots of bugs that bite and sting, you must wear full body protection at times of the year. Very hard to grow much of anything. It is a lot of hard work to live there.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80105754 I had a home at the top of the Rockies for over a decade, I understand such climate concerns, and pretty much all western mountain states are similar now, the heat, the fires, it's a price for the gift of extremes of beauty. I'm just tried of the cities and the noise, I need to get back to me, myself and my trail runs, the occasional bear, etc. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80110055 It’s even better a half hour north. That’s all I’m going to say except that we have lots of people who say they have felt pulled up here for some unknown reason.
