He-Man Gets the Axe!!!

Mattel will be pulling all He-Man action figures from store shelves due to them reaffirming white male supremacy. This does not apply to any other Masters of the Universe action figures (such as Skeletor, Orko, She-Ra, Man at Arms, etc.). This only applies to the wildly popular He-Man figures. They have also announced that effective immediately they will no longer even be producing the He-Man figures, so they will all be gone for good.

Also, Filmation has declared that they are re-editing all animated episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to remove all images and appearances of He-Man, for the same reasons that Mattel has stopped selling the action figures.

This comes as a shock to millions, as the action figures are currently listed as the best selling toys in the U.S., and the He-Man animated series is currently the highest rated cartoon series on U.S. television.

It will be interesting to see the ramifications of these changes, particularly with the cartoon series. How will these vintage beloved episodes be repackaged and presented after these edits? As one young fan from Salem, Missouri has so eloquently inquired, "How can they have He-Man episodes without He-Man?"
