I did two Iraq tours (03 and 07) and ran my ass off. Worked with active duty CASH my second tour. Did ALOT of convoys. My unit was tasked all over the country my first tour. Iowa trans units and engineers pulled an incredible amount of weight. One unit did route clearance for 18 months and had sadly had dead and wounded during that tour.

Highly doubt Op did convoys in 2003. Maybe 2007 it was more easier then. National Guard was back-fill for the real military when we ran out of people. All they did was complain, like saying my real job is so much better wish I can go home, MF definitely wasn't my gunner no way. Always put them in the back seat.
