How many damn VCR are still in existence? I don't think I have ever seen one at the local thrift store. Maybe Garages sales. Meh.

I had a 1979 vcr it had to be 30 pounds ...lol

He said he paid at the time 1000 bucks....

But he gave it to me in the 90s....i had no use for it since i already had 1 in my room....

Then later on i bought a sony with flip down cover,that had every bell on it ...Slow mo ...fast mo...Everything it was like 700 bucks i paid for it ...i threw it away few years ago ...

It kinda hurt to do that...it was ...NEW...

Why are people buying these? To convert tapes to digital format?

We have dressers full of good tapes. love our vcr.

Unlike vinyl where you can claim there are superior traits to the platform, VCRs and Cassettes have no such claim. Magnetic media creates unwelcome distortion, degrades as a result of age, and I don't see why there would be any market for these items.

Remember the olden days, perusing the aisles of the video store, taking home a few movies? At least one would be really GOOD.

you can't use an ebay gift card to buy electronic scrap on ebay because it has precious metals.

I'm not sure if you can buy new electronics with a gift card though.

I just saved 15% or more by switching to Geico.
