This year the seven triangles of light are seen for 12 days ?
I just read another article--"google" "What are the
7 triangles of light on the Kukulcan Temple at Equinox?"
The article was dated to THIS YEAR and says the 7 triangles
are the "7 humps which look like a snake in the shadow of
Kukulcan coming down the staircase." While it talks about
WHAT the "7 triangles" are--it doesn't mention the 12 days
for the continuing shadow this year:

Normally the "shadow" only lasts 5 HOURS...This year the
snake comes down the stairs but the shadow will lsst
12 days.
That MAY BE A TRANSLATION PROBLEM FROM THE SPANISH...
so we need to verify if this is the case...but it sounds
as if the SNAKE'S SHADOW has changed this year. It would
also mean that the Earth's "tilt" (which happens on
the Spring Equinox) is having a bit of trouble finding
it's stasis. I don't know. The sun reaching the "highest
point" of the zenith may also mean that the sun is not
on its same trajectory--you would need to know more about
orbital mechanics to even comment on THAT ONE! In any
event, if there has been a CHANGE IN THE SNAKE--then
"The Shadow KNOWS "something's up with the sun!"
One other idea...If there were to be ANOTHER LIGHT SOURCE
(besides the sun) that would illuminate in the same way
AS THE SUN...that could explain why the "snake-shadow"
would remain in place for 12 days and NOT the 5 hours they
usually expect it to be there. I wonder how people who
go to Chichen Itza faithfully each year to this "celebration"
and SEE THE SHADOW REMAIN would react. It might get ugly.
More research on this needs to be done. Let me know
if you locate any other articles. Seems like this would
be in the news if it were TRUE...but then again, they
are careful about "public panic" and that could upset
a few people.
