Astrology Question - Sagittarius/Capricorn Cusp

astrologers like Susan Miller said 2007 was going to be THE YEAR for Sagittarians. Now that its almost 2008, its going to be CAPRICORN's year.

I'm a saggittarius (12/12) and let me
just say, '07 wasn't anything to write
home about; hoping '08 will be better.
Maybe the great part will happen in the
remaining 18 days. That's normally how
it goes, down to the finish line.

Hey, I'm right on the edge as well - born Dec. 22, first day of Capricorn and first full day of winter. I, too, have always been more inclined to Sagittarius traits than Capricorn.

This cusp presents some real challenges for natives, as the two signs are so different. Almost diametrically opposed to one another in their characteristics. Lots of astrology I've read about this cusp suggests high mental strain, low emotional index, and a genuine need to cultivate balance in all things (don't we all!), indicating a manic nature in natives. It's also an interesting time, as the Mayan calendar begins and ends here, and things really synchronize.

so will cuspy sagittarians have a ganga year in 2008 or is that over? i would think since cuspy sagittarians are so close to capricorn and 2008 is supposed to be Cap's year, don't cuspy kids get a benefit, too?

So that's what is wrong with me!

My birthday is Dec.21, my grandpa is a native and I am suffering from heart palputations from mental stress. Can't seem to find any balance this year, (actually a few years now) not even in my yoga class.

The thing you need to understand as far as any astrologer making a blanket prediction for a particular sun sign is that there is so much that makes up who you are in astrology. The sun sign is not all that there is. Therefore, it is difficult to predict exactly what will be the given case for you specifically without looking at the placement of your natal houses and planets and seeing how those transits interact with those. For example, you could be a Sagittarius Sun, but lets just say Sag is on the cusp of your 10th house, which is responsible for Career, Public Standing and Ambition. In that case, you might have a certain level of success and breakthrough in that particular area, but not in others, and then it would also depend on Jupiter and where that is in your chart and so on and so on. Any generalize astrological reading may offer a glimpse at potentials for any sun sign, but it takes a deeper look into your particular chart to undrstand exacty how that plays out. As for being a Sag/Cap cusp, there may be an element of contracdiction in your personality, as Cap is very cautious and rserved, while Sag is happy go lucky and expansive and free spirited. Again, it all depends on the other planets, what planets you have in these houses and so on. I hope this is helpful. Take care
