Very good Nick, now you know what every B/RB guy since the beginning of time knows- the factory HP exhausts are crap. 1rof1
I would have liked to see him use a set of fender well headers though, cast iron or steel the way they have to hug the block to keep everything inside the engine bay isn't doing the flow any good.

I would like to see him compare the 6-pack to a 750 Edelbrock. Reason is the center carb is rated 350 cfm, outboards are 500 each, 1350 cfm is fine for 600 cid, but low velocity for 440. Notice how poorly the gas flows from the outboards, spurts doesn't even vaporize, poor combustion. Sure looks good though. Factory rating was 390 HP 6-pack, even 750 would be max size.

The 750 would pound the sixer into the ground, it was purely an optics response from the MoPar camp to catch the eye of the GM Tripower guys. Even most of the serious MoPar guys who bought new sixpacks either at least switched them over to mechanical secondary Holleys or went to a large quad. Maybe the most annoying thing about them was a noticeable lag before the vacuum outboards would open up AND THEN if that wasn't enough you got the same effect in reverse when you backed out of it. Not really over carbed as far as being too much air for the engine though since they didn't actually open all the way up.
