Potentially(NOT) TOXIC MASKS DISTRIBUTED TO SCHOOLS DAYCARES and BUSINESSES EVERYWHERE

BOMBSHELL: ‘Potentially Toxic Face Masks’ Made In Wuhan, China Were Sent To Canadian Daycares, Schools
A Canadian company imports the masks from a Chinese company that buys the masks from another Chinese company in Wuhan, China.

Potentially toxic face masks, produced by a Chinese company based out of Wuhan, China – the global origin point for the COVID-19 virus – were sent to Canadian daycares and schools.

The CBC reports that “Radio-Canada has obtained documents showing Health Canada warned of the potential for ‘early pulmonary toxicity’ from the SNN200642 masks made by Métallifer, a Quebec-based manufacturer.” The face masks are described by the CBC as “potentially toxic”.

However, a quick review of Métallifer’s website reveals that the company brands itself as “Votre partenaire industriel entre le Canada et la Chine”, or “Your industrial partner between Canada and China” in English.

National File conducted additional research and learned that Métallifer appears to have partnered with a Chinese company called SQ Group, or Sheng Quan Group, to import the face masks into Canada using the website SQMedicalSupplies.com.

Even more research reveals a Wuhan, China based company called V&Q Manufacturing Corporation actually manufactures the masks, which were apparently then sold to Sheng Quan Group. V&Q Manufacturing Corporation’s address is listed as “#B1614 optical valley time square, Wuhan, Hubei, CHINA” in official documentation for the masks.

On its website, V&Q Manufacturing Corporation promises “Very Qualify Supplier, Very Quality Products, Very Quickly Service.” They list their factory address as “#4 Fuyuan Road, Pengchang town, Xiantao city, Hubei province, China” and a business office in Wuhan at the address “#1-403 SBI Street Guanshandadao Hongshan district Wuhan City 430074”.

On their About page, they write this (typos written on original website were impossible to correct):

According to the CBC, “Health Canada conducted a preliminary risk assessment which revealed a potential for early lung damage associated with inhalation of microscopic graphene particles. Graphene is a strong, very thin material that is used in fabrication, but it can be harmful to lungs when inhaled and can cause long-term health problems.”

Additionally, “daycare educators had been suspicious of these grey and blue masks for a while because they felt like they were swallowing cat hair while wearing them,” per the CBC.

In an alarming report from scientists, it was revealed that there are now more COVID-19 face masks in the ocean than jellyfish, and once completely pristine, uninhabited parts of the planet are now littered with the discarded masks.

Additionally, researchers recently sounded the alarm after chemicals used in plastics – including those plastics used in disposable face masks – may cause penile shrinkage, fertility issues, and a lack of masculine behavior in men and boys.

Wonder-material graphene could be dangerous to humans and the environment

Two recent studies give us a less than rosy angle. In the first, a team of biologists, engineers and material scientists at Brown University examined graphene’s potential toxicity in human cells. They found that the jagged edges of graphene nanoparticles, super sharp and super strong, easily pierced through cell membranes in human lung, skin and immune cells, suggesting the potential to do serious damage in humans and other animals.

"These materials can be inhaled unintentionally, or they may be intentionally injected or implanted as components of new biomedical technologies," said Robert Hurt, professor of engineering and one of the study’s authors. "So we want to understand how they interact with cells once inside the body."

Another study by a team from University of California, Riverside’s Bourns College of Engineering examined how graphene oxide nanoparticles might interact with the environment if they found their way into surface or ground water sources.

The team found that in groundwater sources, where there’s little organic material and the water has a higher degree of hardness, graphene oxide nanoparticles tended to become less stable and would eventually settle out or be removed in sub-surface environments.

But researchers from the first study point out that this is a material in its infancy, and as a man-made material, there are opportunities at this early stage to examine and understand the potential harmful properties of graphene and try to engineer them out. We’ve got a few years yet before graphene really starts being a big presence in our lives, so the challenge is set to work out how to make it as safe as possible for ourselves and our planet.

The Brown University research was published online in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The UC Riverside paper was published in a special issue of the journal Environmental Engineering Science.
