Quoting: REaliZe What did you invest in exactly? I threw little bits into about 10 types of coin. The ones that made the most sense were MANA, ANKR, CGLD, XLM, COMP and a couple others. I put $100 into btc the day it started crashing down from $61k lol. Not a big deal really, but I think it's got a lot of correcting down to do before it goes back up. It's not been moving much at all for weeks. I looked into THETA and TFUEL but that whole system is a fucking hot mess. You have to put up 1000 theta to even get started (like $14k) and well obviously I don't have that kind of money just laying around lol. If I did I probably wouldn't throw it at something like theta. :memorybanner: |

And the alt coins are only just starting to rev up. I never got into bitcoin because the price is astronomical already and it would take another trillion bucks to double it. Smaller coins have much more room to grow with less funding. I just started investing not even 6 months ago and I'm up on everything. A few coins i started with I got out of like a dumb ass and they are up 4-5x. I literally could have picked any coin and I'd be up. People who got in prior to that have even better gains. For the explosive gains you desire you have to get into a coin when nobody knows about it and take the risk it goes nowhere and you lose everything. The coins on Coinbase aren't going to zero but they aren't going to randomly 100x in a month or two either. There's a trade off. |

I tell him, dyor. Sure as shit, whatever I tell him to look at or buy, if it does poorly, he will blame me. I have been buying $25 of BTC every 2 weeks for the last 2.5 years via Coinbase auto buy. I recently increased that to $50 every 2 weeks. I have seen some decent returns here lately plus I have gotten lucky on a few random alts. I have also lost my fair share in alts as well. If I had it to do all over, I would stay only in the big boys. If I had done that to begin with, back in 2017, I would be sitting pretty right now. Yeah, the market is fickle. No one knows what it is going to do and when. Some of the big whales somewhat know, cause some of them are in cahoots in manipulating, but for the average Joe, we have no idea what it is going to do.
