This probably all seems totally quaint and archaic now but this collectively blew us ALL away back in the day...  The commercials are awesome Even Better: The 1980s as seen by MTV. This show was broadcasted in December 1989! The buckle of the Bible Belt is one of the first places to get MTV. It seemed innocent at first, showing off the new trends in music and culture. But, within ten years it no longer showed, rather it told the youths how to behave, what to think. I had broken into a Hampton, Virginia cable system pedestal and connected my free TV and was treated to this and I remember watching the Pretenders too. Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |
