J’s are not Israelites specifically. There is not one doctrine for “Israelites” and one for some group called the church. The teaching of the Messiah is very clear. It gets weird only when Paul shows up.

It means that the rapture of the saints is meant to happen before the tribulation that many believe will last 7 years. There are some that are mid-tribulation and some that are post tribulation or prewrath.
