Inside Boston Dynamics - a Fascinating 60 Minutes Interview
Video is 13 minutes long, and it dispels a lot of fears about this technology.

A 60 Minutes interview dispelled all my fears about George Soros too.

It's the people behind BD, the founder. They seem like ordinary bright people who believe in their work.

Of course that can change with the new owner that just recently bought out BD. A new corporate leader with only profit in mind could try to militarize it, exfiltrate its secrets to other countries that are less scrupulous.

I guess its a matter of time, but for now, the robots have to be controlled by someone "driving them" with a controller, the only "thinking" that they do is maintaining their balance and analyzing their environment. They lack cognitive analysis, but conduct athletic analysis, which is basically motor skills.

It would be interesting to know the founder and what he thinks could push the technology to nefarious uses, he would know, but he seems like the person who would be against it too.
