Quoting: rewind Love is how I can tell. Doing things we love Thank you! I sent a picture of my first potato sprouts to my son and he usually ignores stuff I'm excited about, but this time, even he was excited. He said he wants to learn too. This would be very good for him because he is way too skinny. He's very picky about what he puts into his body, so gardening would be life-changing for him. Goodbye, halcyon days... Seriously - this world has gone to absolute shit and I went and sat outside barefoot in my little (beginner's) garden, and I literally FELT my blood pressure go down...I felt my body relax. Quoting: Only Me So this is my first actual garden. I've grown things here and there, but this is the first time I actually sat down and planned out an actual garden. I saw my first potato sprouts yesterday and squealed with delight. I grew that! There are few things as exciting as watching veggies grow that you put there yourself. Oh. my. goodness....why didn't I start doing this earlier??? That's kind of a boring thread, op. |

They are about 2 inches tall now. I love it when I see a seed sprout up through the ground. Last year we grew so much squash that I could not eat another bit of it. Started letting neighbors and goats have it ... Learn something new each day,,,, And love your country!!! FJB |

It lost its leaves, thought is a goner but it got a few leaves now, im thrilled. It was a present from my grandaughters. I think we're okay. It doesn't get very cold in the mornings, but in Oklahoma, you can never tell. We could get a freak snowstorm in the middle of April and it wouldn't be just real surprising to me. That's why I'm waiting until next week. The tomatoes are the scariest for me because there is so much to it - all those crazy hornworms and blight and trying to keep it from hitting the dirt and and and....eeep But watch me learn how to do it. Just freaking watch me! I can do it Goodbye, halcyon days...
