There are few things as exciting as watching veggies grow that you put there yourself.

Oh. my. goodness....why didn't I start doing this earlier???

It is thrilling to grow things, especially if you can eat them.
I have a shady lot, so I can only grow certain flowers and such, but its fun and looks beautiful.
It is great therapy.

Thank you! I sent a picture of my first potato sprouts to my son and he usually ignores stuff I'm excited about, but this time, even he was excited. He said he wants to learn too. This would be very good for him because he is way too skinny. He's very picky about what he puts into his body, so gardening would be life-changing for him.

I have a really good sunny spot, but I did use a lot of containers just in case I need to move things around. Since I'm new to it, I wanted to have as much mobility as possible.

I'm so excited

It is great fun, I just planted zucchini squash and spaghetti squash. They are about 2 inches tall now. I love it when I see a seed sprout up through the ground. Last year we grew so much squash that I could not eat another bit of it. Started letting neighbors and goats have it ...

I’m so excited too... this is my first vegetable garden. I have always planted flowers but never had a vegetable garden.

I have been regrowing some celery and lettuce... they look so cute!

My seedlings are almost ready...

Today I got 13 Batam baby chicks, my other 17 baby chicks are growing so fast.

I think we're okay. It doesn't get very cold in the mornings, but in Oklahoma, you can never tell. We could get a freak snowstorm in the middle of April and it wouldn't be just real surprising to me. That's why I'm waiting until next week.

The tomatoes are the scariest for me because there is so much to it - all those crazy hornworms and blight and trying to keep it from hitting the dirt and and and....eeep

But watch me learn how to do it. Just freaking watch me!
