Why do you think the Kaaba is 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem
Give me your best hypothesis for this distance

Keep in mind the modern site of the Kaaba was used for religious services PRIOR to the advent of the religion of Islam

It means nothing because we measure distances in KILOMETRES, not miles.

really ?

what was the principle unit of length measure in that time period then ?

Maybe while you're trying to google it, look at this and think up an explanation how the distance between these 3 sites was measured, and why it's the shape it is

Re: Why do you think the Kaaba is 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem
nope

Measuring from the dead center of the Kaaba's stone to the dead center of the dome of the rock is 665.95 Nautical miles, but many people say that might not be where Solomon's temple actually stood (which was considered Gods house here on earth). If you go just a little bit west(264 feet) still in the temple mount area(as the mount is 500 x 450 feet or so) you get 666 nautical miles exactly

Probably goat lengths.

So it would work out at 6666 goat lengths.

Thats 6666 goats laid end to end.

I'll just mention that if you think the meter was not a unit used in Mesopotamia and Egypt, you are sorely mistaken

It was a standard unit from roughly 2150 BC to about 330 BC

Re: Why do you think the Kaaba is 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem
while you are trying to think up an explanation for the pic I posted a link to, let me ask you another question

666 is, in mathematics known as a " figurate number "

The use of figurate numbers predates the Bible, they were used extensively by both Egyptian and Mesopotamians, as well as Greeks, for the purpose of mathematical astronomy, astrometry, metrology, geodesy, as well as teaching the relationships between numbers and geometry

Can any one of you give a simple example ?

Re: Why do you think the Kaaba is 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem
The nautical mile however was not invented until 1929.

Also the 'ancient meter' is bullshit. It was not a meter long and it was not called a meter. Anything you were referring to was a similar but different unit of length with a different name entirely. I mean you might as well say a yard is a meter but it's obviously not.

OK, let me first tackle your claim of the meter

explain to me the difference between the standard of one double cubit and one meter when you plug them both into the pendulum equation

Prolly a rounding feature...

More like 665.997 miles - right?

Perhaps indicating that the whole of the temple mount shifted @37 feet south during the great earthquake in 33 AD.

I'm sure you noticed that the length of the pendulum under Akkadian rule was measured in grain, which are a multivariable unit of measurement

Since you hit that wiki link...

Here's another example how this number was used for astronomy calculations

This involves the calculation of angular distance using the width subtended by the moon, as measured by a priest, and given in grain

good question, I haven't actually looked into the measurements of the building itself, just the math and astrometry involved in it's placement and orientation ( Since it relies on the person who chose the site originally to have been well-educated in the subjects )

I can say though, that it was decided using the exact same mathematics used by the builders of Egyptian Temples like Karnak

cubic, square and triangular numbers were used heavily in the antiquities prior to the Bible, so that's probably involved

The standard of measurement issued by Naram-Sin ( The double cubit AKA " meter " ) was itself based on a theoretical cube of water and it's properties ( Density, etc )

Could be that cube roots are involved as well, since the cube of the intercalary term " 25,920 " is approximate to the synodic month average

I'll have to make it a point to write an article about this question on my website

Thanks !

Let's say I want to calculate the orbital speed of " earth "

A " digit " (( finger AKA horn )) in Egyptian mathematics represents the number 10,000, as well as 1 degree ( An arcminute )

296 x 10,000 will give you the speed to an accuracy that is within .626041 % of the modern calculated value

Surely you don't think the same people that built the pyramids and ancient temples were so stupid that they just decided " in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth " and that was their best explanation, despite the volumes of literature we have that show how extensive math, metrology and dimensional analysis was a rather primary focus since about 5,000 BC

You don't think that, right ?

....and certainly, despite the best efforts of people to teach you the meaning of this number " 666 ", you went and read manuscript P-47 for yourself and saw that NT authors wrote it as a sacred name, which is standard and common in Greek Bible manuscripts ?

Right ?

Because you like the Bible, and what it can teach, right ?

That is in Ethiopia, the ones whom are protecting the book of Enoch. Where Queen of Sheba came from. And supposedly had Enoch with King Solomon. Some believe Enoch built the Great Pyramid.

But the Christian Ethiopians wear a black code strapped on their head and is centered right near the third eye
