SpaceX CREW-2 Launches Friday Morning At 5:49 Eastern | |

Quoting: MoViNgOnUp Nuts. the question is--why do you think a rocket taking off is anything special They've supposedly been launching rockets since the 50s If they went to the Moon & back---why should people to get fake-excited about this non-event Rockets are old technology anyway Returning to using rocket after the Space shuttles--just proves that space shuttles were FAKE Because it's still impressive, not to mention beautiful. I appreciated todays especially since I'd never seen that jellyfish effect-I honestly thought it had blown up. I also was able to see the boosters coming down to the ocean to land. It's just cool. Not everything needs to be looked at through a skeptical lens. It's OK just to enjoy watching something because it's beautiful. :Jay: |

I wish someone could get a few stealth drones in there, to record what is really going on, behind the tree-line. It might conceivably be legit, in which case I would applaud Elon and his team. |

What, you think the bottom of the rocket stops existing even though the top of the rocket is perfectly visible? And here's a hint, no, it doesn't. Next landing I film will be from that spot, provided it's not inside the hazard zone... Last Edited by Astromut on 04/23/2021 09:37 AM |

The launches go at all times of the day. You hear and feel the sonic boom. With that said, I won't waste more of my time arguing with someone halfway around the world doubting what I just saw from my own backyard. |

You can see it in person. The "jellyfish" effect is because it was launched towards the east right before dawn. The rocket rose into sunlight, illuminating the exhaust. I filmed it myself. By the way, I also filmed the first stage descending back into earth's shadow just before its entry burn. Meanwhile the second stage continued to stay in sunlight because it continued to climb in altitude instead... |

They even had good special effects back then. ;) Also my extended family was present at the Challenger launch when it exploded in '86. Achduke |
