The first time I noticed that what I formerly called a "Need" wasn't:

Marine Corps bootcamp 2008 I was surrounded by dudes, and not once did I feel the need. Nor during the training after at SoI (School of Infantry).

Only when I was given the freedom of regular leave and interaction with the civilian world did my "Needs" return.
