Entertain me and explain how the footage was spared

I found the video to be real. It survived because it didn't have a brain that exploded bleeding inside. It wasn't a nuclear weapon. Inanimate objects survived.

Ok ok so whatever happened there, are we to presume that everthing in a couple square miles was killed?

That would either have had to happen in some real remote podunk town; or would require one of the biggest cover-ups in history.

Right well just to play the devil's advocate, maybe the tower is modular. Maybe it is a modified "cell" tower.

What I find most problematic is the supposed "birds" circling the thing. That is a huge population of very big birds. Maybe another explanation for those looking to argue the footage is real is that is metal items of some sort that has been pulled into some sort of magnetically induced orbit. Maybe there is a landfill near there?

Another problem is if that tower is, say, a mile away, the light from the "explosion" would reach the lens before the sound reached the mic. There would be a split second delay.

I agree. Just the way the water rises...or waves are created from either heat or a pressure wave. I don't know but can't be faked to that detail IMO.
