Why are they locking down Cali and not allowing no trucks in or out? Why can't they just check them at the border of the city and let the food, etc., go in and out?

The second one says they're celebrating on January 9, about the withdrawal of tax reform. So what's the issue now? I saw there was still something about tax reforms.

Nothing has changed, protests are pretty common in Colombia and this one involved a lot of Venezuelans that are there illegally. We will be there in a couple of weeks and will enjoy the shit out of it. I love Colombia.

I spent a week in Bogota on business. I took a weeks vacation and stayed an extra week. My god, the women hunt in packs down there.

They lock everyone down in a poor country and don’t let them work, most people live day to day on what they earn with their hands. You close their churches.

Right now Colombia is in a lockdown the likes of which we’d never see in North America. You can only leave the house once per week according to the last number on your ID, and only for a few hours.

No stimulus checks either.

So take all of that, then add a new tax on everything, including pension checks, eggs and milk.

The only way this even makes sense is if it’s intentional to provoke violence and riots and push the country into full blown leftist dictatorship. Remember, Colombia is the ONLY country in LatAm that has never had a socialist or leftist leader.

The US might need more boots on the ground to stick on the necks of the Columbian citizens and keep them down and in check.


If the US wants to maintain control, it will have to give the Columbian oligarchs more firepower to use on Columbian protesters before things get out of hand.

Columbian oligarchs have ruled with an iron grip on power in the region for decades.

If this isn't nipped in the bud fast, things will get ugly.

Colombia has been open for business quite a bit over the last 6 months. When all restaurants were closed here we were eating out every day there with no issues. You can buy street foods everywhere. The violent crime is isolated to where the narcos are and most people don't live in that part of the country. As long as you don't live in the bad parts or central areas you can carve out your own paradise on the cheap in Colombia and have a damn fine woman by your side there too. I'll be retiring 15 years early there and I've been there 12 times and will go back in 2 weeks. Colombia is the most underrated tourist destination in the Americas. Check out Cartagena, like Miami, Cancun and Spain mixed together.

From what I could see on livestreams last night and today, it's the protesters who are blocking roads. I've heard the major Pacific port of Buenaventura is blocked, and that's not far from Cali, and food is running out in grocery stores in Cali.

Furthermore the "protester" publicists have been dishonest. They pretend this is about taxes and that the president is a dictator, then when called out they admit it's not about taxes and the president was elected (and not by Dominion either) but the real situation is so complex and they're corrupt bla bla bla.

This is just more BLM/Antifa shit as far as I can tell, and even one of the supporters talking to a leftist audience on youtube compared them to BLM as a way to get sympathy.

Someone please tell me how this is wrong -- because as of now, I fully support the government and want the protestors to go back inside and do something productive with their lives.
