Colombia has been open for business quite a bit over the last 6 months. When all restaurants were closed here we were eating out every day there with no issues. You can buy street foods everywhere. The violent crime is isolated to where the narcos are and most people don't live in that part of the country. As long as you don't live in the bad parts or central areas you can carve out your own paradise on the cheap in Colombia and have a damn fine woman by your side there too. I'll be retiring 15 years early there and I've been there 12 times and will go back in 2 weeks. Colombia is the most underrated tourist destination in the Americas. Check out Cartagena, like Miami, Cancun and Spain mixed together.
