the US is way too big geographically to meaningfully "crack down", combine that with it freedom loving traditional culture. Much of the country and many states will remain free in the US under ANY circumstances.

Time is late, but it may not be impossible to flee if you seriously do the research. I knew these days were coming and I left the US for South America several years ago. Life is good here, not perfect, but not the shit show that's happening in the US. It took 1.5 years of research and planning, but you don't have that luxury now.

East Asia or South America are good choices. My recommendation is that you think about the climate you want to live in and the culture to some degree. Small towns are better than cities. Check on the permanent residency requirements. No country will let you live there without going through immigration.

Ignore the idiot comments. It's mainly from uneducated, small-minded, unworldly people. The majority of people in the world are born and die, with many living full lives, while never stepping foot in the US. The "US is exceptional propaganda" is strong and people don't realize how low the quality of life there has fallen.
