If you live on America or a Commonwealth land you can leave the mass-societies and join a private society or just "be" private.

Don't have to flee the land that belongs to you and is your inheritance. But you do have to put some time in educating yourself about status correction and being private really is and how to do it.

spain is very nice. laid back easy going christian culture and great weather, expensive to buy in the popular spots. i am not aware of land prices away from it all or attitudes to "off-grid" but if favorable it's a very real option. spanish is also officially the easiest foreign language to learn but most speak fair-good english.

I don't know if it's possible to escape them, I think it's worldwide, but if I had to leave the US, I might consider Italy or maybe Greece. Italy seems to have a nice rebellious streak - as well as...well, it's ITALY, dude! and Greece is opening up its bars and restaurants. So if they don't require vaccine passports - because they are gonna have to put that shot into my cold dead arm - we might consider going over there for retirement. We would fantasize about that anyway even before COVID & Communism but it might be an added inducement.

Spain might not be a bad idea either. Not as attracted by Portugal but that might be an option too.

I'm just old and quite useless anyway and I would just like to spend my remaining years in peace with some fun around me and good looking people and sunshine. Cannot stand these Leftist assholes and they seem to be everywhere.

My wife says we would go to Reunion off the coast of Madagascar.....and as I recall it was very nice with many cliffs overlooking the ocean....about 700k I think and some of the friendliest and loving people we ever sailed to!!!

Gotta ignore the volcanic activity....much like Hawaii but 100x cheaper!!!!!

It seems clear that western countries, in particular UK US and Canada, are in for the most pain. Everything is moving east and the west will be the sacrifice to usher in the new. It was all planned from the beginning.

Why are the people in those countries blindly following the corrupt corporations and gov while the entire financial system teeters on the brink? Do you think they care about your health? or is it more likely that these entities would like to erase trillions in liabilities, while at the same time preserving resources and future wealth. Just in time for AI and robotics to replace you.

You would be better off outside of those jurisdictions in the short term, for sure. But everyone needs a tribe that shares their values. Ultimately, there may be nowhere to hide, but the US is looking more like ground zero everyday.
