Quoting: FeedYourHead [link to minnesota.cbslocal.com (secure)] Think Chauvin got a fair trial? It is looking increasing likely and absolutely not. Maybe he committed a crime, maybe assault or manslaughter, but it was 50:50 (at best) whether Floyd died of asphyxiation or heart attack, nothing compelling to suggest he suffocated to death besides his words of "I can't breathe" which he began uttering BEFORE he was 'positionally asphyxiated' (he also adapted it from "I can't choke" as an excuse for claustrophobia, and continued complaining he was claustrophobic while being 'cruelly' pinned to the ground). Once you remove that from the equation, there is no compelling reason to favor asphyxiation over heart attack, and reasonable doubt should have been awarded to Chauvin, but the jurors came with a preplanned motive as evidence by their desire (according to this juror) to end deliberations 20 minutes in. Wouldn't surprise me if there were more perjurers on that jury protected from online researchers by their anonymity, undoubtedly cleansing their social media as we speak. The more important question is how can he get a fair trial the second time around. He can't. The world has now heard his excuse. The media has declared him guilty. They have twisted polls to say the majority support the verdict (the first poll amassed those who chose he was guilty of murder with those who chose he was guilty of 'negligence' into the one category to claim the public vastly supported the verdict of guilty of murder and manslaughter, the poll actually showed more than half thought he was guilty of manslaughter or less. Since then more polls have come out without an exploration of the question of what people felt he was guilty of, so that may be deception, or it may be evidence that they are swaying the public with their initial deception). Chances of a fair trial NOW are reduced compared with before, IMO. Last Edited by GooPile on 05/04/2021 10:10 AM GooPile |

But this juror is also on the record as having swayed the 1 hold out. LOL, whoops. That's 2 jurors who could have returned a different result, and who knows how many more frauds there were among the remaining 10. GooPile |

He certainly should not have received Murder in this trial. I feel black people are far too bias at this point to be on a white mans Jury. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice. I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty. |

Granted, they weren't exonerating someone but it was clearly the People flexing their powers given by the state. All of you bootlickers crying about this are part of the problem. The few of you might want the current police state to continue for whatever reason, but it is very obvious the rest of us are ready for change. |

Black people have been complaining since the inception of this country that they can't get a fair trial because of all WHITE juries, and now you're pissed off because the jury basically reflected the actual racial composition of the locality in which the crime was committed? Lol. Gonna be a rough next century for ya. |

One juror cant convict him, and this juror admitted before the trial he had a favorable opinion of BLM. 3 of them admitted they did. If you had automatically excluded anyone that did it would have been racially profiling the fucking jury basically |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1397910 Admit it. Not without proof his actions killed him, because that's the law. I don't convict on wishful thinking. The prosectuions experts opined based largely on discredited claims of "I can't breathe" (discredited because he was saying it long before Chauvin had his knee on him). They didn't provide proof. The defenses expert opined based on some proof (heart disease, including clogged arteries, and the effect of drugs which may all contributed to a cumalative effect). But one black officer did kill someone. He killed a 35 year old unarmed woman with a gun. Without warning. With police in the back. The gun was responsible for her death. The officer: not even named. No BLM people fighting for her rights. No mass protests by white people across the country, including looting and burning. A bullet killed her, unquestionably. You have convicted a man on a theory to as much as 40 years in prison. GooPile |
