During the pandemic, my 11 year old son hast taken up guitar and absconded with my guitars and associated gear (he started playing in November and has made amazing progress). I had played guitar off and on (much much more off than on) since I was a kid. As a complete surprise, he and my wife got me a bass guitar and bass amp for Christmas. Honestly, I wish I had figured out that bass was my instrument years ago. I absolutely LOVE the bass and play most days.

My son has similar musical tastes (classic rock, metal) to mine, so we have started working on some songs together. That has been one of the good things to come out of all this.
