Can millennials add numbers without a calculator?
I am not even asking about basic multiplication or division - just ADDING.

Saw some millennials playing a game and at the end they had to add up their scores. Adding simple numbers - not one number was higher than 15. They all pulled out their phones and used the calculator on it to add it up.

Yeah, the future is fucked.
Even without the Vaxx of Death.

Yes. And better than the vast majority of people if I might add. Though I admit calculus has always given me trouble. Just because a sizable percentage of millennials are idiots don't assume all of us are.

Re: Can millennials add numbers without a calculator?
Thats why when most of us went to school, we could not use calculators until it was needed.

Not surprising, kids now cannot do basic maths, or spell.

Those spell checkers, and phone calculators really have given them a tool to diminish what potential they could have, in terms of an education for most kids now.

Many kids will of course be naturally smart, but most will not, and they will use tools to cheat.

I agree, if they get this future they want, they want a society where everyone is an equally dumb as each other, just so no one can be special, and achieve anything some other kid cannot achieve.

Kids have been doing even their simple 10x10 times tables on calculators for 20 years now.

We used o have to know this by memory but things ain't like they used to be.

Yes america is screwed.

A person - an individual - can be intelligent.
People on the whole are stupid.
Millennials are the most ignorant batch of humans ever to grace the face of the planet.

Congrats that you can add.

I know what a millennial is, but what is a "diesn't"?

I should mention they can't spell either.
And diagramming a sentence????? Forget it.

I'm triggered by your sarcasm. I need a safe space now

lmao

Yes that was a joke. As for math my mental and basic math abilities are likely superior to most people. Not arrogance just the truth. Other truths include that I'm quite ugly (bummer) and not great at calculus or physics. Maybe that's why I became a chemist. (though calculus and physics are intertwined with chem of course) I'd never make it as a high end mathematician or physicist I'm afraid.
