The education gap is widening. Women are getting degrees at far higher rates than men.

One thing I've noticed in my area is most of the people working retail jobs are women or not super masculine men. My assumption, considering it's a more rural area, is that the 'manly' men are doing more physical labor jobs and women need to pick up the slack. I think I've always known that statistically more women attended college than men and I'm starting to realize that it's likely for the same reasons. Since WWII, women have had a perceived 'obligation' to have jobs outside of the home and my guess is that college is an easy alternative for women in order to get this 'obligatory' job, while a man who has a biological, inherent desire to provide for himself and his family is more likely to get out into the real world to fulfill that desire as soon as possible.

All speaking from a woman's perspective. I think more women should be learning how to cook and clean and have less of an attitude.

Employers hardly care about degrees cos they have internal tests.
