I don't know why this hasn't happened already. On Election Day the Secretary of State announced 8.1 million registered voters but just looking at the most recent census data suggested that only 7.8 million people were of eligible age. Not even taking into account the number of people who were disqualified for whatever reason, that discrepancy alone proves that some shenanigans were played.
