Areas off I-40 in North Carolina are running low or are out of gasoline and or diesel fuel.

Only a speedway and little country store have gas left in my town in southeastern KY. Not looking good

I was just driving through parts of Chattanooga and North Georgia. I drove past at least 15 gas stations and only saw 3 still serving customers. Local news finally released an article that essentially told people to calm down that the pipeline would be restored by the end of this week.

I naturally get nervous when the local media says to calm down because it usually ends up being quite the opposite!! aaaaaaaah. Anyways...

With that being said, Do we really believe the system will be restored or do you guys predict a longer disruption?

They also pumped crude. That was the reason that I was there for 2 years. Back in the 60's and 70's they pumped in crude from tx and stored it underground in that facility. The underground storage was over 14 stories deep. In the 80's they abandoned the underground storage holding, installed tanks cleaned out and sealed off the "mine" that was used. They still pump, store and isolate crude to this day. I'm not privy to where that crude went, other than entire tank farm used to hold crude oil. But I do know what the other lines were used for, where they came from and where they went. It was my job to know since I was the PM and engineer. just sayin....

Don't think they would stick their neck out saying all clear by the weekend. If all goes according to plan probably will be good to go.

That's as long as Murphy doesn't get into the act.

Thanks for the inside intel. I'll bet there will be nothing on the news about these storage tanks being able to supply for months or that some are sitting idle for no reason, something brewing for sure.

Interesting as I am qualified to operate those trucks but the so called driver shortage is pure bull.

They offer as low as $14 an hour with crap benefits to drive a bomb.

A few years ago it paid very well but like all blue collar work the suits want more for themselves and figure ways to cut wages now there's a "shortage".

Right.....

As far as I know truck driving is one of the most heavily regulated jobs in the U.S. Much more regulated than a cop's job is, and cops have to write down dang near everything they do while on the job! So for me I would not want to be a truck driver due to such facts.

I work in Okeechobee county in Florida. Two stations I stopped at were totally out. The third had fuel so I filled up.
