Something weird happened at the dentist today.

I've had several teeth pulled in my 62 years, one when I was in my fifties and two (wisdom) teeth when I was still a teen. All done by oral surgeons. I don't think a dentist has pulled a tooth since the Old West days.

just had 2 teeth extracted. make sure you find a biocompatible dentist who understands the necessity of removing the periodontal ligament. they charge more, but well worth a job done right. many dentist offices i called said it was the dentist's discretion to remove the ligament. no, it's my body, my $, my choice.

anyway, research it.

I would add "for children" after medicaid in the search bar. Bc a lot of dentists only accept medicaid for children bc once they become adults, medicaid covers a lot less and dentists stop accepting medicaid. Thats how it is in Maryland anyway.

Clove oil is good for pain and Oregano oil is AMAZING for any kind of infection.

I have gotten rid of many infections by oil pulling with coconut oil. You didnt mention the age of your child, but if she is old ebnough to swish that is what I would do, even if just in the meantime while looking for a dentist.

I did so with a terrible toothache on a Friday. I had an appointment the following Monday. I swished like my life depended on it. The pain was gone the next morning and I ended up cancelling the appointment.

Here is what I did:

I melt coco oil and add a few drops of clove oil, tea tree, oregano oil and cinnamon oil. Swish for 10-20 minutes 3x a day, then switch to daily, then weekly.

Set a timer and have your child play a video game.

It will be clear when you begin swishing, but white when you spit it out (thats the infection.) Make sure it is spit into a cup and then dump into a trash can and not down any drains.

There used to be a lot of great info on oil pulling. But, since it is VERY effective, there is now lot of disinfo from the dental community. They realized they will lose money, and now have spent a lot of effort touting that there "is no research to support" it.

Btw, I have also used coco oil alone with great success ... but those added oils take it to another level.

I make a good bit at a time and pour it into a mold with tiny hearts and put it in the fridge to solidify. Then dump them in a container and take them out of the fridge to melt when needed for pulling.

So sorry your babe is in pain. I hope he/she gets better soon!

We used to get our tooth pulled at a racecar shop they had nitrusoxide and they used top brand tools . The vet next door would stitch it up for 20 bucks. The good old days. This isn't any advice of course.

i've oil pulled for a few decades. while it does wonders, it did/could not heal broken teeth, which become harbingers of infection.

i avoided getting extractions til the nerve was exposed, trying to heal them naturally. broken is broken.

I made a mistake of having my dentist do my root canal because I did not know exactly what the procedure was and the options.

The second one he referred me to an endodontist and was much less painful.

The first one "lasted" about 18 years and became infected and had to be pulled. The dentist did not clean out all the root is what I was told.

The reason for each root canal was infection in the tooth and severe pain. I do not know why your child needs one but if its pain,, she must be in a LOT of pain based on what I experienced twice.

I thought my dentist, who's the son of the guy whose name on the door, was going to turn me away when I refused root canal work.
Everything was fine till then. Suddenly it was like I was too stupid to be his client anymore.
The new guy, who I like, wound up just pulling teeth.
Part of the problem is that many dentists think that they are always the smartest person in the room. You are not a client you are a problem they must take care of to make money.
Part of the problem is that root canal costs mucho dinero plus later appointments and continued monitoring, when pulling teeth is a hundred bucks and a couple cotton pads.
I like my new dentist. I am getting fitted for a partial lower plate soon.
I do not regret pulling the teeth that were messed up by a different dentist who ground the s##t out of the original ones to make from for repairs.
Maybe I will get a chance to ask out the hygienist next time I'm there. She's cute and imho a genuinely nice person.

It's been just over a year since my Wife left me. it's difficult even trying to talk to anyone, between covid, my job, life.

An X-ray will indicate healing inflammation post root canal

It will also display regrowth of the surrounding bone tissue

Don't do the oil pulling. I tried this after reading about how miraculous it was. Ended up with the worst sinus infection of my life. Didn't help the tooth either. Ended up getting it extracted. One was an old-time dentist. The other was oral surgeon.

My brother got a root canal and three months later, he found out the dentist who gave him the root canal also implanted a chip within him. He found this out after suffering through numerous headaches and body pains. He paid $2000 to get the chip removed.

I suggest you take your kid to a clinic, a free clinic to get the tooth removed. Free clinics don't have the ability to do root canals but they pull teeth all the time, for a lot of them, that's all they do and they can even pull your kid's tooth when you right there in the room, which is what I'd suggest, that you be in the room while the tooth is being pulled, so you can make sure that, that's all they're doing but yeah, those other dentists wanted to do a root canal so they can implant your kid with a chip. Dentists are doing that these days, implanting chips in people through root canals, during the procedure of putting feelings into people's mouths, dentures and etc.

When the assistant came in with a walkie talkie, they probably were recording you or bringing it in so someone from CPS or the cops could listen to you, they were probably hoping you would get irate and then they could have you arrested and take your kid away that way, in which, once they're in the care of cops or the government, sure, you'll get them back, but you'll get them back chipped.

I took 2 years vet tech. I was amazed at how basically everything was almost the same doses for animals and humans. Mg/kg.
As my instructor pointed out, evolutionary wise we are only 2% different from most animals. Why shouldn't our meds work on them and theirs on us?

We keep putting iodine on a few bad teeth until we can get to a proper dentist, are there any good ones out there? The iodine is helping keep infection away so far, and it has been almost a year now.

Visit an endodontist. It's what they do.

Serious question OP....why wouldn't you get her the root canal? Lets say your kid is under 16...I've had a root canal done on a front lower tooth everyone sees when I was 20...more than 30 years ago! Zero problems! If you pull 1 tooth all the rest will start moving.

Do the root canal, let your kid keep her real functioning tooth and let them decide when they're over 18 if if they want it pulled.

Cops and cos use the same simple downloadable apps to record using their phones. They just set it down on the table and pretend to check messages every now and then.
The "trained and therefore must be smarter than you professional", gave you his/her rendered opinion and you rejected it. They most likely suffer from CYA syndrome. Cover your a$$. In case they think you will sue them later.
Last week my dentist was not impressed when I passed on the fluoride rinse. I told him that I am allergic, my lips and mouth swell and peel when I get too much. It's a chemical burn.
He told people aren't allergic to fluoride it's safe.
Well I know my body.
The hygienist waited till he left then agreed with me that it's rare but possible. Then actually helped me find a new brand of toothpaste.

You put iodine directly on the tooth? Like tincture of iodine?
That's not really safe.
You can make yourself very sick.
As a long haul trucker, we usually wind up missing bmore appointments then we make, what many of us do is use hydrogen peroxide as an oral rinse. Don't do it everyday, and brush after, but the 3% stuff is made for that purpose. It will draw out infections to a degree.

A full extraction is way more traumatic than a root canal.

A root canal is just removing the nerve, while preserving the rest of the structure. I have had several, as well as some extractions and I can tell you I wish I hadn't had the extractions. An extraction removes support for the neighboring teeth and will cause them to shift and create problems with the bite, which will lead to face/neck muscle issues and other problems.

Just get the dang root canal and quit being a tinfoil hat model.

Then get the kid a water pic / oral irrigation device and use natural toothpaste and make them clean their teeth at least twice a day so this shit doesn't happen again.

We had a dental issue a couple of years ago where all three of my sons had their wisdom teeth come in at the same time (twins and a younger brother). We didn't have the dental insurance to cover getting them all removed and it would have cost us over $12,000 per current dental rates. They were complaining about alot of pain and discomfort so I knew we had to do something.

I am a follower of YahuShua/Jesus Christ and believe that when we Trust Him and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our path. So I acknowledged Him in this and asked what we could do. That was when I was reminded of the verse in James 4:2 that says "...you don't have because you don't ask". So right then I prayed and I asked God to dissolve their wisdom teeth in their mouths so their pain would be gone and we don't have to have them removed. In my prayer, I mentioned that since God made their teeth, would He please remove them that our faith in Him would be strengthened and their pain would be gone.

It wasn't instant, took about a year, but now none of my boys have their wisdom teeth anymore. They are just...gone. My family's faith in God's goodness and provision is strengthened and all the pain my sons were feeling is gone. God is SO good!

I say all of this because the time is coming and is now here when God will call on His children to heal the sick, raise the dead, multiply food to feed the hungry...things His son YahuShua/Jesus did and more. Because we will not conform to the pattern of this world and take their poison, we will not be allowed to go to hospitals for medical care or grocery stores for food but God will provide! Use this time to strengthen your faith. Lay hands on your daughter and pray for God to heal that tooth, In YahuShua/Jesus' mighty Name! Do not doubt that God loves you and her and it is His will that we are not sick and that our faith be strengthened. When we pray according to His will in His Son's Name (and are NOT DOUBLE-MINDED meaning doubtful), His Word says He will do it (John 14:13). Then, when the time comes and you are surrounded by the sick and dying, you know first-hand what He is capable of and He can better use you!
