Re: Something weird happened at the dentist today.
So I took my kid to the dentist today and the dentist said she needed a root canal. I said nope, I don't believe in root canals and i wanted him to just pull it. He said out of good conscious he would not. Then a dental assistant passed by the door and asked the dentist if everything was okay and asked if he needed someone in the room with him. We were just talking so that was weird. Then the dentist left and said someone would be in to bring me referral papers.

I hadnt raised my voice or anything. Then a dental assistant walks in and lays a professional walkie talkie looking think down on the counter. About five minutes go by then someone walks in with a piece of paper and says... So you are refusing to get the root canal because you don't believe in them and then paused and looked at me. I said in a very low voice "and"... She then looked down at the papers and said so we are referring you to so and so. She handed me the papers and I walked out the door.

Why in the world did they set that walkie talkie down. I assume it was to record me and that the lady giving me the papers was trying to get me to admit to something. That's why I just said "and".

Oh, and I can't find a dentist that will just pull her tooth.

Be REALLY CAREFUL, OP. What they wanted to do was call Child Protecton on you and say that you’re taking irrational decisions for your child that are the equivalent of abuse. It’s happening more and more where a parent decides not to do a root canal or not vaccinate a child and it results in child welfare taking them away.

At this point, I keep my children away from any and all medical professionals unless I have a very good relationship with them.

So what am I supposed to do about her tooth? I don't know a dentist.
 Quoting: Stella Wayten

I’ve actually had two root canals and it saved my teeth. Have had no problem for 15 years....... I know dentists are gouging patients, but personally, it allowed me to keep my own tooth in place......

Not a conspiracy except for the fact that:

1) You are correct about root canals. They plan on killing the tooth, inserting a post into the bone which will loosen over time while covering the now dead tooth with a crown which will decay and fall out years later. Source: It's happened to me twice.

2) There is no money to be made in pulling teeth and all of the dentists have stopped doing it except a handful of OLDER dentists which will soon be retired.
 Quoting: FightForGod!

You guys are so funny. One tooth effects another. If a tooth is pulled the one below it sometimes extrudes then you loose another tooth just because you pulled one. Also remaining teeth move and shift when a tooth is pulled. The Dentist knows all this will happen if you pull one. He just wanted you to understand what you were about to do by taking the tooth out instead of getting a root canal.

Talk about weird, my son (18) broke a front tooth, just

chipped it. He was with the ex, his mother and she took

him to a local dentist. (He has insurance by my work.)

I gave her $200. Just get the tooth fixed, we might

have to make payments I said.

He comes back home and says---THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT!

Would only put in a 'temporary fix'.

For $134 too! I was mad and asked what happened?

She said he needs a "root canal" and then a cap and

the total would be $1600!!!!

I said you must be joking. I paid $134 for a temp???

I f*cking hate the medical industry now!

They are robber barons totally taking advantage.

My son explained we haven't got that kind of money.

She said she would not help us then...

Dentists refer to what you did (or didn’t do in this case) to abuse. They see teeth as living necessities of a healthy life and they will report you for it. Think of taking a kid in with an infection of the deciding it best to just cut the leg off because you don’t believe in antibiotics or expensive treatments or surgeries.

I’m not saying I agree, but this is definitely happening now. Scary times.

Re: Something weird happened at the dentist today.
Stay strong! You did the right thing! We are not to conform to the pattern of this world and root canals are definitely not something we should get!

We had a dental issue a couple of years ago where all three of my sons had their wisdom teeth come in at the same time (twins and a younger brother). We didn't have the dental insurance to cover getting them all removed and it would have cost us over $12,000 per current dental rates. They were complaining about alot of pain and discomfort so I knew we had to do something.

I am a follower of YahuShua/Jesus Christ and believe that when we Trust Him and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our path. So I acknowledged Him in this and asked what we could do. That was when I was reminded of the verse in James 4:2 that says "...you don't have because you don't ask". So right then I prayed and I asked God to dissolve their wisdom teeth in their mouths so their pain would be gone and we don't have to have them removed. In my prayer, I mentioned that since God made their teeth, would He please remove them that our faith in Him would be strengthened and their pain would be gone.

It wasn't instant, took about a year, but now none of my boys have their wisdom teeth anymore. They are just...gone. My family's faith in God's goodness and provision is strengthened and all the pain my sons were feeling is gone. God is SO good!

I say all of this because the time is coming and is now here when God will call on His children to heal the sick, raise the dead, multiply food to feed the hungry...things His son YahuShua/Jesus did and more. Because we will not conform to the pattern of this world and take their poison, we will not be allowed to go to hospitals for medical care or grocery stores for food but God will provide! Use this time to strengthen your faith. Lay hands on your daughter and pray for God to heal that tooth, In YahuShua/Jesus' mighty Name! Do not doubt that God loves you and her and it is His will that we are not sick and that our faith be strengthened. When we pray according to His will in His Son's Name (and are NOT DOUBLE-MINDED meaning doubtful), His Word says He will do it (John 14:13). Then, when the time comes and you are surrounded by the sick and dying, you know first-hand what He is capable of and He can better use you!

“And whatsoever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14

"But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.…" James 1:6-8

Get oil of oregano, put it on the tooth 3 times a day. It may take two bottles. It worked for me, but I'm not a doctor and this isn't medical advice.

This was my post. Oil of oregano will also help with the tooth pain while killing any infection. Immediate relief, at least it did for me.

Serious question OP....why wouldn't you get her the root canal? Lets say your kid is under 16...I've had a root canal done on a front lower tooth everyone sees when I was 20...more than 30 years ago! Zero problems! If you pull 1 tooth all the rest will start moving.

Do the root canal, let your kid keep her real functioning tooth and let them decide when they're over 18 if if they want it pulled.

No bagging on you....just some serious parent advice

What's crazy is they pretend to care so much but then they can't seem to do anything about a hurting tooth until you come in and let them examine it and then they have to make another appointment that will be weeks later to do anything. The dental industry has turned to trash since I was a child.
 Quoting: Stella Wayten

When my kids had a toothache, I would put activated charcoal on a lightly moistened cotton ball and have them put in on the tooth for 15-20 minutes. I had them do this 3 times a day for the first few days. Then we cut it down to once a day for one full week after the pain was completely gone. Activated charcoal will draw out the infection, and I had them continue using it for a week after the pain was gone just to make sure the infection was completely gone. They never lost a tooth.

I thought clove oil was an old baba trick until I had a dentist use clove oil packing in a temp filling. He told me it lessens the pain, speeds up healing and draws out the infection.
That's what he told me.

That’s a scary story. I would never go back to that dentist. If you know any like minded people in your area, ask around for a natural dentist. They exist.

I’ve had a root canal, but I understand your hesitation. My understanding is that modern root canal is very different than it was back in the day. Every year I get a special x-ray at my dentist and they look for infection.

My guess is your dentist was one of those who get triggered whenever anyone questions them and their dogma.

Look up nano toothbrush/20,000 bristle toothbrush on amazon. Then get a non-fluoride toothpaste, charcoal, neem, or enamel restoring, depending on the child’s needs. The toothbrush is soft, its many bristles hit the pockets beneath the gumline. Easy to brush with, child sizes available.

Re: Something weird happened at the dentist today.
I tried clove oil on a toothache before I discovered activated charcoal years ago. If you've ever used tooth medications like Orajel or Anbesol, you might be familiar with the intense pain they can cause. Clove oil had the same effect on me. Activated charcoal doesn't do that. It doesn't burn like oregano oil either. It doesn't have much of a taste and I had no problem getting my kids to do it.

I buy activated charcoal in bulk, because I use it for other things too, but you can buy it in capsule form at any health food store. It's easy to use. Just break open a capsule and sprinkle it on a moistened cotton ball. You want to be careful, because it can stain clothing, but it will wash right off if you get it on your hands, the countertop, etc.

From dentist to doctor and even the fucking veterinarian, "I can't in good conscience" is becoming a phrase you will hear more and more often.

I just got the same shit from a vet by the way. No walkie talkie, just a refusal to perform a spay unless they were allowed to remove a lump from the dogs breast as well. The dog is 11 years old and has had a recurring pyromethia, which was cleared up at the time. The spay was $250.00. The additional surgery that could not be left aside "in good conscience" was to be an additional $1400.00 dollars, "if everything went OK". Everything is going this way.

My daughter recently enlightened me by making me aware of ToothAche Plant.

There are two plants (Spilanthes acmella and Spilanthes oleracea) that are commonly referred to as toothache plant or sometimes paracress, a name deriving from Pará, a state in northern Brazil where the plants are widely cultivated. The species differ slightly in size and color.

Toothache plant is antiviral, antibiotic and antifungal. It has a numbing sensation when used in the mouth or on small wounds like bug bites. When you chew one of the yellow and red flowers at first it tastes like you are eating grass. This is quickly replaced by a numbing sensation.

In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.
