Well it makes sense. But they don't even HAVE to do that. Surely there's a record of those veterans' Wonderlic test results from their pre-draft combine? It's basically a streamlined IQ test. They could just go by that. How does your current Wonderlic score compare to your pre-NFL Wonderlic score. If someone declines more than X% then they qualify. Simple. And then they are only comparing each claimant TO THEMSELVES, rather than along racial lines.

Why would the NFL want to prove the sport hurts players. It is to say it isn't as bad and they have the proof, plus they do not have to pay out as much. That is it plain and simple.
I have a TBI; I am still very smart. now when a neurologist and psychiatrists have rated me for the VA. there are are a battery of tests. most of the questions are the same stated different. to see if you are consistent. it takes over 300 to get a read. Also brain scans, exams, many visits and medications; other systems affected by my brain injury including temp control, heartrate, breathrate, gut issues, seizures, and much more. These people are human lie detectors/ and experts at rating people in their fields. They listen to their opinions. My IQ has nothing to do with all my problems. I am a smart soul in a fucked body.

So why can't they listen to specialists and rate them on their condition. not an IQ test ? it doesn't make sense to rate it that way.
