Here is a description of what they teach but I don't think it even begins to describe them. The books are EXTREMELY anti-government.

They have some sample pages: T for taxes. Government takes money from people whenever they earn, buy, or own things. That money, called taxes, is used for things politicians think are important.

I was shopping for a kids birthday gift at a toy store and noticed the Ruth Ginsburg book and the many people of color books but nothing like this :)

The elementary series is soft and around 50 pages.

The middle school ones are hardback and thick.

The high school ones are really thick soft cover. They are like choose your own adventure books.

I'm not sure what you are talking about or how what you said has to do with these books. These books are great to explain to children what the proper role of government should be. Perhaps I used the wrong phrase. The books aren't saying there should be no government but what the government under our constitution should be doing. And it gives them examples of how the government is f****** us.

I prefer to teach subjects, math, science, arts.
If a child understands philosophy and creative thinking they will know right from wrong and how to achieve it.

Sometimes telling a kid that socialism is bad isn't the way to go.

It's the way these books go about it all that's really great. It isn't a textbook about what to think. They are stories of examples of what is happening in this world written in kid speak.

I'm guessing it's closer to not having any real caring, teaching Parents of their own to start with.

It is a Parent's job to teach, not just feed, clothe, shelter and protect.

So then when your kids read these books and understand the 'best' type of government is and how socialism is so bad...will you then have the conversation of how socialism is very much alive in the USA however it is socialism for the rich only. Capitalism died a long time ago. Now we just have socialism for the rich where the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank prints dollars and gives it to the biggest banks and corporations with the hope (gotta love hope as a strategy!) that it will trickle down to the masses.

I sincerely hope our kids can burn all these indoctrinations of 'isms' which have all been bastardised for their own agendas, and let the kids create a newer system which better represents their futures.
We have fucked up royally changing the concept of Capitalism and Socialism and now Fascism according to the headlines of the day.
Better to ditch these books and get our kids into the real world, making connections, loving nature, connecting to God/Source, being creative, being self sufficient with growing things, cooking, making things etc....and let them soar. They don't need second hand beliefs served up from a publishing house

It’s no wonder that many homeschoolers have adopted her philosophy and methods as they seek to educate the whole child!
