The batteries take hours to charge. Tens of thousands of charging stations will be needed. Convert the gas-eaters to eat NG and then you can fill up at home in any place with NG or Propane appliances.

Pretty sure the CEO of Titan trucking wrote the bill, and said he saved $20,000 shifting part of his fleet to non-petroleum based diesel, and that it works the same as petroleum diesel...sounds like magic, but I will wait and see....also, I drive a diesel vehicle, and live in Oregon, so how this works out matters a lot to me...but how about a little less knee jerk "kill all the idiots in Oregon rhetoric..." Water is H2O. Oil is a hydrocarbon, as in hydrogen, oxygen and carbon chains...with other contaminants if you drill it. You can't turn H2O without the C and it takes lots of energy and is VERY expensive. H20 + CO2 and some chemistry gets it done. Its way easier to pull it out of the ground.

Well without those obsolete garbage carbon fuels. You would not have the lifestyle you currently have. You wouldn't have food to eat. A high rise apartment to live in. Hell even some of the clothes you wear are made from carbon fuels. all plastic is made from garbage carbon fuel. Also a attack on carbon is a attack on life itself. Because most if not all forms of life on planet EARTH ARE CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS INCLUDING ALL HUMANS.

Diesel engines can run biofuels, ie cornhusks, hemp, etc.

They're extremely practical.

But you're right, the diesel engines are the ones they mod for the hydrogen.

If I was young and could rope someone with mechanical skills, and started a money making venture, to fund other businesses, this would have been one of them.
