First, don't take advice from people who are broke.

If you are not debt free, get there, don't even take zero percent loans, as there is precedent to revalue loans to Gold even in the absence of a Government holding Gold during a collapse.

Get away from population centers move to a rural area where state and local government support your world view. Ideally an area where intentional communities are already established who support your world view. Become part of an intentional community of other people you can trust.

Focus on production not consumption. Make sure you are a net producer of food, water, shelter, power, security, medical, communication, intelligence, and community.

While things remain calm establish a variety of businesses that produce and maintain inventory in the categories above. So when the balloon goes up, you are sitting on means of production and inventory of the things you need.

Assuming it's not enough to buy a house or put a deposit down on a house, probably a decent leather trench coat and some ~£1000 artwork.

Search and research for a good piece of land near a lake or river not necessarily with a house on it, demanding maintenance. And a good inexpensive Rv. You can rent it for hunting and fishing with it generates an income and all of this is better than paper that at some point could evaporate phoof gone adios.

Then get several bikes.

You can’t be that stupid.

Get everyone a bike a backpack.

Pay off ALL debt including the mortgage.

Max the ROTH account each year.

Park the rest in mutual funds and live off the interest :)

I took my money out of the Federal Credit Union because they kept putting social media web bugs on the login page and their CIO/CTO refused to get rid of them.

You really don't want your money anywhere somebody can enter it online so you can be tracked.

Stop using Amazon, too. They sell your IP address and name to credit card companies and social trackers for "security" reasons.

My theory that I call "The do something disease" comes into play here...Usually, the best course of action in situations such as these, the best thing to do is nothing...even when your gut is screaming that you need and must act and DO something...Don't.

The law of unintended consequences sets you up for failure...By doing nothing, you avoid many mistakes and having money in the bank in never ever a bad thing...

We may be headed for an event that changes things, but I personally have been waiting for such an event for over a decade, and it’s been forecast since before 2001, so I hear.

I personally don’t think the dollar is headed to zero. But even if it is worth 40% less in four months or whatever, it’s still money in the bank.

There’s something to be said for having stored food, and some metals, but there’s only so much silver a person can carry.

The worst thing you could do is buy a new car.
Anyone can get financed for a new car.

The most wise thing would be to buy a home.
You have a good down payment for a home.

Buy a lot of land that you can plan on building a home on if you are unable to get into a home right now.

Everyone needs to be planning to take care of their families.
Top priority.

$10K is chump change. If you keep large sums of money in a bank you’re losing value from inflation.

I never buy anything with my own money. I borrow a good rates. My investments cover it and then some.

Also never use a debit card. Credit cards only. Pay on time in full. Build credit and use someone else’s money to finance you short term. Again your investments make you money.

Early last year when the market dropped 20%, my broker and I were discussing what others were doing. I said, what was the look on their faces when you told them we are doing nothing?

But as we knew it would, the market recovered and then grew an additional 45%, a 65% improvement! And if you "pulled out" you would have screwed yourself...LOL

Buy Gemini stable coin and get a guarantee 8.6 interest with very little risk
Or buy a virtual racehorse on zed.run.
You are still early and horse values are climbing. You can even race and or breed them for ETH.
