Restaurants where I live are desperately short staffed
Talking to a bartender last-night. She is the only one left bartending at the restaurant we went to last evening. The other 3 are opting for perpetual unemployment and the same goes for the kitchen and front of house.

High end dining, pizza shops, diners down to the local Dunkin are all desperate for staff because of the unending welfare.

Crazy that people would rather get a free $800 per week to sit at home , than to go to work for $500 per week.

Hard to figure out

I revived a 5 year old espresso machine after my coffee maker broke. Realized I never used the milk frother. I've been making all kinds of awesome coffee drinks. From lattes to iced coffees.

I cook pretty good too. Made an amazing filet with perfect mashed potatoes the other night.

About to make some breakfast sliders.

Third world nations do have limited choices in dining.
You better get used to the new and improved poverty ridden America.

All part of the plan
They did trial runs on universal basic income and most people didn't want to work
So it was introduced as part of the Great Reset to destroy small and medium business
It will be fine for a few years until inflation kicks in and they start cutting back on payments

Well, that, and the fact that the idiots shut down most of the restaurants and bars so the people went and got other jobs. My daughter and her friend both got laid off from the bar they worked at. They both now work in another business and making a lot more money.

And also do you really want to go back to those types of jobs? They will be the first to be shut down again if they release another "virus".

That doesn't make sense. There's no way that unemployment can support that many people. If there's work available there should be less unemployment. There shouldnt be both a shortage of workers and record unemployment. The economy will completely break sooner than later under this condition.

Good.
All the times I was denied a job because I was over age 45 but could turn circles around these whiny little SJW anti American sloths who demanded more than 15 an hour to stand around with their thumbs up their asses,, I am loving watching these places go down.
They don't want to hire any of us older than 45 and younger than 60 even though we still look good and we have manners and we can light fires under the asses of the teenyboppers and put out the fires they caused with the clients or customers.

Have at it small business. You deserve it.

I made $500 every Friday and Saturday night serving tables and $400 for a double shift during the week. So what if my "wage" was $2/hr? The restaurant only reported 1/3 of my actual tips so I was making really, really good money.

I wish they would label unemployment as "government money" so the rest of the working economy didnt have to take their money.

People wont wear masks at jobs that sucked before Covid.

Turnover is unprecedented at other jobs too. Work from home has prolonged the mask theater.

No way I'd work 8 hours a day in a mask for scuzzy government sector workers who don't have to.

Imagine the shit the zoggers got the military doing... Masks, high heels, vaccine, sex change surgery.

People have no clue whatsoever how quick Trump let it turn to shit when he saw how easy it was to drain the entire system of wealth.

No one wants to deal with rude ass customers & coworkers for a measly $9 an hour or $220 a week. That sort of work load is for clinical psychologists, lawyers & police.Buisnesses of that sort should be family run. They may blame it on welfare but there really just too picky with whom they'd like to hire as if anyone on welfare or unemployement was really qualified to begin with.Just imagine a dozen of their interviewees.Probably right though need to drag some of them fatass lunch ladies out of the trailerpark & give them some culinary lessons on how to cook something other than frozen nuggets.Someone's literally getting away with murder in this country.Anyone worthy of taking on such a task, working in a kitchen;entry probably has tattoos,a mental health problem or criminal record maybe both & is probably trying to flee the US to Mexico.Everyone else just rakes in cash from their parents or government jobs. It's America & for the most part
you're gonna be able to find housing or food regardless or your employment situation,at least up until it gets dark.If you so happen to be Baltimore,Chicago or Philly you may be sleeping outside & eating trash.
