What is it like to be an upper class black person?
There aren't a lot of upper class african-americans.

It kind of weird because despite being at the top of society in terms of how much money you have, who you know, how you conduct yourself in social situations, etc, there's still some stigma attached to you because of your skin color.

At the same time though, you’re freer in the sense that you can talk about whatever you want however you want. In my experience, black upper-class people are more versatile socially. They’ve mastered ‘talking black’ and ‘talking white’ and are talented at putting people at ease.

Of course, not everyone is the same. There is a lot of diversity among the black upper class. Everyone is different. There’s a lot of different types…

Dude, you're twisted in the head.
How much money do you even define as "upper class"?
You don't make any logical sense. There's no special way that black americans talk. And all black Americans are the same class because they all get treated the same regardless of how much money they have. The cops treat them the same, their co-workers treat them the same, the dating websites treat them the same, GLP treats them the same..

In my mind, being upper class isn't really about money. Instead, I like to think of Wealth as a byproduct of being upper class.

Also, black people aren't a monolith...things are mixed up.

Ask Oprah.

It's like seeing a unicorn in the wild.

Of course, they "made" Oprah, so I guess there really aren't many if any.

Not really. Black folks tend to be quite idiotically socially, politically liberal, monolitically so. From the far left to the soft left. But they're mainly of the left, period.

That's why various forms of corruption, dysfunction and meanness tend to run wild in black America.

Bullshit. You treat black sociopolitically conservative black people differently from the way you treat hosebag liberal black people.

Be honest. You know you do.

What the hell is wrong with you?

Well off blacks get called names like "oreo" and "sellout" and "uncle tom" by JEALOUS and poor black people.

It's very unfair. The poor ones are very jealous that they didn't accomplish much in life so they try to make the ones who did, feel bad.

I'm sure it's very similar to being an upper class dung beetle or an upper class cockroach, or maybe even an upper class maggot eating the carcass of an aborted baby.

Re: What is it like to be an upper class black person?
Of course there are all kind of blacks same as in any other race....BUT its about negative culture and the % of blacks that engage in it...

I don't know about "upper class", but I know many blue collar blacks with great families and lives....unfortunately they are not on the news....they are outnumbered by ghetto/thug culture blacks that can't stay out of the crime stats...

The blue collar blacks I know? they hate thug culture too.....
