Just watched the last 2 days of C2 Lasco, not even close to the days of old. [link to soho.nascom.nasa.gov (secure)] Just pop in the dates... Comet Neat caused more in less time... Accept that our magnetosphere is significantly less than it was then . That’s the little bubble that protects us. If it’s beat down while a flare comes , we are screwed . Well, this rock could use a good cleansing. Evil is now roaming free, mocking God's creation. What burns doesn't rot. |

Things, do happen on occasion, and the only bullshit is coming from your post. If Carrington happened today, we would be back to that 1859 lifestyle in an hour. Most scoffers of facts, are also ignorant of any actual truth in their own history, that somehow they can never see.. The Sun, solar system, galaxy, and the entire universe for that mater, is in a perpetual dynamic and constant flux. Anyone, who thinks that "nothing ever happens" Is a dumb mother 'F'ing idiot. (YES, I responded to my own original post, that I posted before I logged on.) That can be done easily on just about any evening thanks to the pollution in the Gulf of Mexico. I talk to El Paso all the time on channel 6 USB from Vero. And I just checked spaceweather.com and it says nothing like that anywhere. The closest thing I can find is "Yesterday, May 22nd, sunspot AR2824 unleashed a flurry of solar flares unlike anything we've seen in years." That is no where close to what I said and spaceweather.com is not NASA. To ignore tyranny is to give it medium to thrive! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7387295 It takes only a few minutes for radio transmissions to reach Earth from the sun. X-rays, untraviolet, etc. However it takes several days for the real fun... the resulting coronal mass ejections, to reach Earth. That is the material that does the real damage. CME's warp and compress our magnetosphere and cause anything that carries electrical current to 'sway' in it's electrical conductivity properties. To ignore tyranny is to give it medium to thrive! |

AND COUNTING! NASA has never seen anything like this. Quoting: ZOOM OUT With the Earth's weakening magnetic field these could have significant impact beginning tomorrow, Monday 5-24-21. They are coming from a relatively small sunspot# AR2824 which is trying to connect to another sunspot with an opposite charge but there are none around. X-ray and ultraviolet output towards Earth has increased 10,000 fold over the last day which is creating enough atmosphere ionization to drown out interference from lightning from local thunderstorms on AM band. NASA is saying that none of them are Earth-directed but watching video from Stereo-A and Stereo-B shows NASA is full of shit! They have even stopped updating their solar output spiral! This new increased output of rapid-fire solar flares could have effects on thunderstorm and tropical storm intensity and electrical output. If the flares continue they could start having effects on satellite communication and, if intense enough, could create auroras in lower than usual latitudes. Cell phone service could be disrupted as well. Eyes on the sun people. It's no coincidence that the volcano in the Congo erupted yesterday in the midst of all of this solar activity. They are well known to be connected. [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] Look for possible KP indexes up to 7 for possibly days at a time. |
