The Word was made flesh,etc. Drop the W and replace with L and it's a false rhyme with Lord. Also Sword in biblical terms is also the word of God. So the meaning is complex. It's conscieness as well only spoken. God spoke the word. The alphabet is phonetic not unpronounceable letters. Language is human only. Animals don't use words. There is something sacred about it.
