They'd tell us that too, if they caught wind of an end-of-year prank.. Just to ad input that was less conspiratorial.

Girls carry purses and boys have pockets. Why would they need a backpack to carry a cellphone?

We usually get announcements about such things so if I don't hear anything tonight I will be up there in the morning.

I'm amazed that no kid asked why. Furthermore, what is in their backpacks that's so important that it's causing a problem? If it's the last week of school, they won't have much to take to and from school.

When I was in school....1st grade through 12th, there wasn't such a thing as a backpack. I do wish there was. We walked to and from school and carried our books. What a pain!

This is a generation that does not question authority. I don't know why. I certainly was telling off the head nun principal when I was a lot younger than that.

Yeah, my mind went to the school possibly having heard some-something about a student/s planning to pull some prank....yikes, or even one thinking about going ballistic.

Yeah sure. Pranks died out with the no tolerance policies long ago.

Many kids did ask why. My kid almost got expelled again for speaking up. The answer they gave them made about as much sense as wearing a mask by yourself in a car. "You don't have much going on so there is no need to bring it." My question then was, why the fuck are they even going if they aren't doing much? Still no official word from the school.

That was my first thaught.

I picture the schools relocating kids if an ' outbfeak' happened.

My kids are awake enough to see past the propaganda and still get something from the curriculum since they dropped common core. They beg me to go to school. They have no friends because they have extremely high IQ's but they don't care. My wife and I stay on top of them and make sure they are keeping in check. They know a lot more about the world than we think they do, generally speaking. They keep their teachers in check as well. They don't let them get away with any bullshit.

Pranks are in whole new levels . Who wants to deal/ clean with that crap.

Backpacks with books are hard on kids, they should just be injected with education
