IMO - it is really tacky for a man or woman to praise their current spouse on FB as the love of their life

So, why am I making the world shittier?

Because I chose to marry a divorced man? I think I am OK person. I support assisting the adult children...even suggested we bankroll one of them to get a home. So, I am shitty?

I don't get why people insist on devaluing their previous spouse...short of them bring pure evil. I know my cousin's first wife and she is the sweetest, most giving person you could ever meet. I don't know his 2nd wife that well, but I maintain it is tacky to act as if their life sucked until they married the 2nd wife. Maybe my cousin is happier but I still think it tacky to act as if their life was miserable before.

On one of our anniversaries my now ex husband went on fb and said some nice things like that (not love of his life, but how great I was etc).

Granted, he dissed me in person for not posting things like that on fb or posting pics. I never liked to post much.

Come to find out, that was when he was with the first other woman (that I know of), got her pregnant and moved on to #2, while trying to "make things up with me".

So grateful he is an ex.

Any real man does not use that shit to tell about personal lives. Wimminz do. Those are the bad wimminz. The only use for facebook for the living is to talk in "private" to their long lost friends who are all in one place. In sudo private.

I get the sense that your "cousin" may in fact be your ex, and this is more about you having your feelings hurt than feeling someone else is "tacky." Or maybe I'm wrong. Let's assume I'm not.

It has NOTHING to do with any ex and any ex that thinks it does is a narcissist - which could explain the "ex" part. If I say that I love my wife, that's the simple fact, end of story. It doesn't mean I didn't love my ex - that has nothing at all to do with it.

Maybe be less concerned with how others that have nothing to do with you express themselves, and more concerned with your own relationships? You might be happier in general.
