A small portion of the human population are intelligent, at
any given time. Most people, like yourself, have a very narrow point of view and are possessed of limited knowledge. Meanwhile some people (a tiny number) are advancing science and technology. The masses enjoy the benefits of advances of technology, but are, for the most part, stupid and superstitious, even to the extent of denying science as being bad and evil. In the past most stupid people were weeded out by disease, starvation and accidents. Now, even the stupidest are kept alive to reproduce and dilute humanity to it's lowest intellectual denominator.
