An admitted population reduction freak with unlimited amounts of the ultimate poison at his disposal. "It has been estimated that a pound (454 grams) of plutonium inhaled as plutonium oxide dust could give cancer to two million people." Quoting: JackReno TerraPower, founded by Gates about 15 years ago, and power company PacifiCorp, owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, said the exact site of the Natrium reactor demonstration plant is expected to be announced by the end of the year.Small advanced reactors, which run on different fuels than traditional reactors, are regarded by some as a critical carbon-free technology than can supplement intermittent power sources like wind and solar as states strive to cut emissions that cause climate change. Way safer and more controlable than water cooled, This natrium design appears to be the latest version of that. |

So this would be a solution to the radioactive waste problem. Quoting: Bernd They also cannot have a core-meltdown because they are intrinsically fail-safe. Who's that you say wants to build a nuclear reactor on top of a still active volcanic region? Bill Gates you say? Intrinsically safe you say? Like building one on a tsunami shoreline?
