More Tears On MyPillow: Mike Lindell’s Lawyer Has Been Fired From Law Firm After Filing Fraudulent Lawsuit

“Late last night, firm management became aware of the filing of the complaint, which was done without receiving firm authorization pursuant to internal firm approval procedures,” a Barnes & Thornburg spokesperson said Friday. “While the firm cannot comment substantively on pending matters, the firm is immediately taking the requisite steps to withdraw as local counsel in this matter and end the client relationship. The attorney representing the client in this matter is no longer with the firm.”

So does this mean Mike's lawsuit is already a fail?

No it means that attorney can start his own firm if successful. Chances are both counter suits will be thrown out, Dominon is acting as a quasi government agency.

The firm responded to a suit alleging that companies are weaponizing litigation, by weaponizing litigation.

If you are an attorney employed by a law firm, you go and initiate a major public lawsuit and see what the managing partner does.

You're fired.

If this actually what happened then Lindell was set up and fired attorney is in on it.

Same thing happened in Miracle on 34th street. The lawyer who represented Kris Kringle got shit canned also by his firm for the same reason.

He likely knew they would reject it or even expose them for discussing it..

He did the right thing.

This has NO effect on the actual case. He is an attorney, he can run his own firm.

Not yet, but it's a ludicrous PR stunt and almost certainly will never be heard in court.

Wow I can't believe that a partner is firm of that size would think you could file the most explosive litigation in the country and not have your firm on board. For the good of the case, I would have had that all worked out before hand, and walked with my millionaire client before the filing. To have done otherwise is a black mark on the case. Sure they can go on, he files his own appearance with another firm, or his own firm.

But it sounds like this guy was "local counsel" so not necessarily the lead attorney who appears to be from out of state. Local counsel is required in federal court so there is some attorney in the jurisdiction that can run over to court if needed. But even to be local counsel, can't believe they didn't have this all worked out.

It's a PR stunt and a clown show.

No lawsuit has even been filed yet, but like everything else, Mike says it's "soon". Just around the corner.

Consider how much money a firm could make doing this. But no, they don't want to touch this steaming pile of joke with a ten foot pole.

File a BIG lawsuit without the Law Firm the attorney works for knowing it is going to be filed and having it approved before hand by the management committee?

The guy HAD to know he would be fired when he filed that lawsuit without the firm knowing. And if he didn't he is too dumb to be working for a big league law firm.

Hope he has his monthly retainer worked out with Mr. Lindell since he is going to need the cash flow so as to keep his personal finances above water in addition to keeping the litigation moving forward.
