Alabama dropped the mask mandate at schools in early April and my kids, and almost all the rest of the kids, couldn't wait to shed their masks. For the last two months of school, I would normally see maybe two masked kids getting out of cars every morning.

Why would you consider that a shill post? Seems perfectly reasonable to me. I was kicking around the idea of bringing the mask out of retirement, myself, to protect against any possible effects from the vaxxed, but my town is only about 25% vaxxed, and we're never indoors with lots of people for very long so I decided to keep it retired. Taking Vitamins C and D is a good strategy for virus protection any time.

That said, I don't think that's what's happening. Most of the people who would be inclined to wear a mask to protect themselves from the vaccinated have been anti-mask so long they wouldn't dare put one on now, even if they thought it would help.

Yeah, that's how it works. Usually, it's weather-related, but we actually had it happen for flu a few years ago at my daughter's school. They had such a bad outbreak, they shut the schools down for three days, and those days got made up at the end of the year.
