It may ultimately be a scam like any other form of fiat currency right now. It's all a ponzi scheme. But I made out like a bandit with crypto from 2013-2021 and I used it as a force multiplier to increase my wealth faster than any other investment and went and converted it into things I know hold up well in any depression/crash.
