It's a scam as much as any currency is a scam. Any currency has value only so far that people believe it has it. Bitcoin's problem compared to dollar is that if bitcoin's value drops US military won't go to war to prop it up. On the other hand if oil producing nations would suddenly start to sell oil with some other currency than dollar, they'd soon find themselves on the "invasion list". Like "this country sells it's oil in euros, therefore they are terrorists". That's the reason you invaded Iraq right? Oh and I'm not even being judgmental here. All great political powers try to maintain that power. That's how it goes.

I used to be a crypto skeptic. Never took it seriously.

But since making money after playing around with it. And then the pandemic and banks going crazy with printing etc...

And then learning about America's history of financial collapses from the 1700's onwards.

Its crystal clear that Fiat USD is unstable as a Rollercoaster.

And with inflation...

So I now wholeheartedly am for crypto. So much so. That I now use crypto as my current account. Pushing to one side Fiat currencies as second place of priority.

Let me be honest. Crypto is the way forward.

Its our currency. The people's currency.

And I 1000% recommend every person invests something into it. Even $100.

And leave it for months... You will certainly have a smile when you see that $100 increase...

Bitcoin exists because of tard politicians and bankers destroying our monetary value.

If they were proper stewards of the monetary system no one would have had the need to buy bitcoin.

But they consider themselves monopoly men in control of all the different colored pieces of paper and they'll give plenty to their ivy league school friends, but you don't get to have any.

And when their ivy league school friends blow their wad on bad investments, they'll just print up a shit ton more and and it out to them again.

But nonetheless, from a non partisan standpoint, BTC is no less legitimate than proxy fiat US currency as far as a store of value or means of exchange goes.

When you unpack that it means the dollar is backed only by debt, owed by the people of the United States owed to the Federal Reserve Bank (a private banking entity).and faith that the US Government will make good on that debt.

Why should I put more stock in the value of that arrangement than in the decentralized concensus of value in bitcoin?

It's the manner of bringing in cashless society in full and hooking it all to the social credit score and monitoring literally everything people do with their "money".

It is not decentralized. If it were untraceable, how come they're tracing it and requiring taxes to be paid on it?

If you've made money in it, good for you. Convert it into tangible assets. Silver, gold, firearms, etc.

The economy is getting trashed no matter what. I bear no grudges at all to people who've made bank on crypto. But it isn't actually any better than FRN's.

One "celebrity" can make a comment and drop it by 30%. That is NOT something that has inherent value.

It's no different from our current fraudulent financial system in that it is completely worthless on it's own.

If you're in it and happy, cool, but make sure you have preps and physical silver at minimum.
