The megadrought is real.

Amid the worst Southwestern drought in at least 400 years — and easily one of the worst sustained droughts in over a millennium — Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has asked the denizens of Utah to pray for rain: “By praying together and collectively asking God or whatever higher power you believe in for more rain, we may be able to escape the deadliest aspects of the continuing drought,” Gov. Cox said

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — June 2021 is LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Utah, Gov. Spencer Cox declared on Tuesday as communities kicked off Pride celebrations.

According to the Utah Pride Center, Cox's declaration is the first of its kind by a sitting Utah governor. It reads:

"Whereas, the month of June is commonly celebrated and recognized as LGBTQ+ Pride Month;

Whereas, we should all strive to be more inclusive and accepting of the LGBTQ+ members of our community;
Now, therefore, I, Spencer J. Cox, governor of the great state of Utah, do hereby declare June 2021 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Utah."
