If man marrying a man is gay sin, why do Christians say the church is the "bride" of Christ?
If you're a man and in the church and you are Christ's bride, then isn't that...gay??

Not just gay but you are, despite being a man, referred to as a "bride". So you become a woman?


Please don't delete this thread. I'm not trolling. I started reading the bible and I have some questions.

Because of the comparison.

When a man loves his bride, he protects her, guides her, never lies to her, provides for her, and will give his life to defend her.

This is why the church is the bride of Christ - this is how He loves us.

OK. But the love of Christ could have been symbolized as the love between an older brother and his younger brothers.

When it's symbolized as a marriage its weird because there is a sexual aspect to marriage.

Also isn't marriage supposed to be between one man and one woman. What I find strange is that millions of men and women become the "bride" of Christ.
